With origins in home remodeling, Chip popularized the complete tear out remodeling trend in Oak Forest and Garden Oaks. Complete tear outs emerged out of necessity to bring remodeling projects up to code and sell safe, quality homes. "We found so many problems in those old houses," Chip says describing years of past sub-standard remodeling. "You take everything out, electrical, plumbing and AC and essentially re-build from there."

Complete tear out remodeling allowed Chip to re-configure house layouts to meet the needs of a new generation and modernize the electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems. "One of the big advantages of tear out remodeling is you get to completely seal, insulate and make the house efficient," says Chip. With the use of lasting building materials like cement board siding, Low-E windows, and natural stone, Chip's exteriors tastefully bring together elements of Craftsman, traditional and Prairie styles.

Remodeling naturally opened the door for Chip to build from the ground up and Chip's emergence in new construction built on his strong foundation in tear out rebuilds.
